Job description

The Charles H. Sandage Department ofAdvertising in the College of Media at the University of Illinois - Urbana-Champaigninvites applicants for a full-time (100% FTE) tenure-track assistant professorposition. The expected start date is August 16, 2027. Successful applicantsshould demonstrate a promising record of scholarship and an eagerness tocontribute to the department's research, teaching, service, and publicengagement missions. 

We are looking for an excellentscholar to build on our strengths and expand our expertise in the contemporarymedia and advertising landscape. Ideal candidates will have research andteaching expertise in areas such as:

  • AI and advertising
  • AI and public relations
  • Computational social science with an emphasis on media and advertising
  • Data analytics including social media analytics and an emphasis in advertising
  • Social and mobile media and emergent technologies

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in handby August 16, 2027 in a relevant field, including but not limited to: advertising,public relations, communication, mass communication, marketing, psychology, andinformation sciences.
