Job description

Role and Scope of Position:
This position is responsible for supporting analytical and technical initiatives for the Asset Management Technology organization. This includes collaboration with various stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements. Responsibilities include data analysis, development of new tools, reports, data solutions, and processes to align strategy and vision across multiple regions.

Essential Functions:

  • Develops and manages data solutions to support asset management functions and ensures data solutions follow industry best practices and security standards.
  • Review, analyze and consolidate data from multiple disparate sources including writing SQL queries and creating custom tools.
  • Design, create prototypes, develop, deploy, and support Power BI dashboards and reports that meet business and technical requirements.
  • Collaborate across the organization with stakeholders to gather and analyze report and dashboard requirements while ensuring business processes support the ongoing update and management of asset management tools.

Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:

Technical Knowledge/Skill:

  • Working knowledge of information technology systems. Ability to create/manage Microsoft Access Databases, PowerBI reports, and associated programming languages (Visual Basic, Sql, .Net, Phyton or similar programming ability) is highly desirable. Experience in using SQL server management studio is strongly preferred.

Education:

  • Requires a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related quantitative field (MS in Computer Science or equivalent preferred)

Experience:

  • A minimum of three (3) years of related experience is required. Experience in electrical utility industry, information technology including database management and business analytics preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
  • Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
