Our company is seeking for MBO operators for 1st shift (6am-2pm), 2nd shift (2pm-10pm) & 3rd shift (10pm-6am). They will be responsible for performing routine setup tasks, such as setup Roll to Sheet/folded on MBO or Hunkler line, setup/operate product counters, setup/operate glue systems; able to setup basic paper transport path including simple attaching (ex. Simple card non-critical, single plow fold; etc.)


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Set up glue (hot melt) in lines, elongated dots, and dots perf job ticket
  • Set up multi-feed units to feed carriers and attached components; more standardized simplified formats
  • Work with operators, feeders, and catchers to ensure they understand how to properly load/produce/pack product on the machine
  • Able to achieve and where possible exceed target net production rates per job specifications
  • Ability to make repairs to line equipment when parts are available and in hand
  • Understanding of equipment and processes
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and identity items to repair
  • Be able to safely remove a jam from equipment without risk or injury or damage to the equipment
  • Know how to safely power up/down the equipment
  • Know how to identify glue required, and keep the glue tanks properly filled
  • Ensures all required documentation is completed on the production line for all team members and turned in to the supervisor
  • Responds to QC alerts and concerns with the required measures to satisfy the situation by requesting the right assistance (supervision, setup, or mechanical technician, etc.)
  • Alerts supervisor to any condition where excessive downtime is being experienced
  • Keeps the area clean and safe throughout shift
  • Knowledge of all positions on a production line to help assist when needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications

Education & Experience Requirements

  • 2+ years of folding experience
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Intermediate level of computer skills
  • Great oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish (both oral & written is desired)

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Must be physically capable of working long hours, standing, and/or walking repeatedly throughout the shift
  • Position requires some mechanical aptitude
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
