Job description

Folder Operator
Pay: $22+ per hour, based on experience
Location: Brio Direct – 2507 Gravel Dr, Fort Worth, TX 76118 (On-site)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:45 PM. Overtime and schedule adjustments may be required based on business needs. Candidates must be flexible to work between 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM, including occasional Saturdays, as needed.

Position Summary

Brio Direct is seeking an experienced Folder Operator to join our digital print finishing team. The Folder Operator is responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating folding equipment to produce high-quality finished printed materials according to job specifications, quality standards, and production schedules.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, quality-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced digital print production environment. This position requires the ability to balance production efficiency with accuracy, quality, and minimal material waste.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, adjust, and operate folding machines for a variety of printed products.
  • Read and interpret job tickets, work orders, and production specifications.
  • Verify fold types, dimensions, and product quality throughout production runs.
  • Perform machine make-ready, adjustments, and changeovers to minimize downtime.
  • Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot minor mechanical or operational issues.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance and keep equipment clean and in good working condition.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Work closely with press operators and other finishing personnel to meet production deadlines.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
  • Assist with other finishing operations as needed.

 

Qualifications

·         1+ year of folder operator experience required.

·         Digital, commercial printing, bindery, or finishing experience preferred.

·         Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

·         Ability to read production orders and use measuring tools.

·         Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

·         Basic math and measurement skills.

·         Good communication, organization, and teamwork skills.

·         Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

·         Ability to work overtime and occasional Saturdays as needed.
