Glass Court Swim & Fitness is hiring a Full-Time Fitness and Racquetball Director to lead and grow our fitness and racquetball program and community. This role owns programming, leagues, clinics, court scheduling, member engagement, events, and revenue growth, while maintaining excellent fitness spaces and court conditions and a welcoming, inclusive culture for players of all levels.

Responsibilities


  • Oversee and lead all fitness and racquetball programming: group fitness, personal training, leagues, ladders, tournaments, clinics, lessons, and special events.
  • Manage fitness floor operations, personal training staff, and group exercise instructors.
  • Drive participation and retention through member engagement, outreach, and community-building across both fitness and racquetball.
  • Manage court scheduling/reservations, the group fitness class schedule, programming calendar, and utilization targets.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and coordinate all fitness instructors/personal trainers, racquetball pros, and event support staff (as needed).
  • Partner with Membership Director on tours/trials and convert prospects into racquet and fitness participants and members.
  • Maintain fitness area and court standards: cleanliness, safety checks, equipment maintenance, and reporting repair needs.
  • Coordinate with facilities/vendors on court maintenance, lighting, HVAC comfort, fitness equipment repair and replacement, and repairs.
  • Develop partnerships (local clubs, schools, corporate groups) and promote group bookings/corporate wellness programs.
  • Track KPIs: court utilization, league participation, group fitness class attendance, personal training revenue, lesson revenue, event revenue, and retention.
  • Support club-wide service standards and handle member issues/service recovery.

QualificationsRequired

  • 3+ years experience running fitness and racquetball programs, leagues, or club operations (health club, private club, YMCA, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of fitness floor safety, personal training best practices, group exercise formats, racquetball rules, league formats, tournament operations, and player development.
  • Proven ability to build participation through programming, communication, and community leadership.
  • Current certification from a recognized organization (e.g., ACE, NASM, ACSM) in Personal Training or Group Exercise, or a degree in Exercise Science or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills (scheduling, calendars, coordination).
  • Excellent member service, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
Preferred

  • Experience managing a fitness department, including budgets and staff supervision.
  • Teaching/coaching experience (private lessons, clinics, player development).
  • Experience with club software for court reservations, class scheduling, and reporting (Jonas a plus).
  • Event marketing experience (flyers, email, social, partnerships).
  • Inclusive coaching experience (welcoming beginners, adaptive or neuroinclusive approaches).
