Description - Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and advanced clinical lab tests-spanning chemistry, hematology, immunology, and beyond-in accordance with established protocols.
• Evaluate results for accuracy, troubleshoot any discrepancies, and ensure the optimal functioning of lab equipment through preventive maintenance and calibration.
• Support specimen collection and prepare samples for testing as required.
• Carefully document all procedures, mentor new staff or students, and assist in maintaining quality standards within the laboratory.
• Uphold a clean and safe working environment while ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree along with ASCP/AMT certification preparation.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be obtained within the first year of employment.
• Maintain current certification throughout your tenure.
