Waypoint Analytical is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nutrien, LTD.
The Seasonal Laboratory Technician will be responsible for supporting the laboratory by following methodologies, performing analysis, and interpreting data from samples. These are seasonal positions and are estimated to last for 3-6 months. Hiring will take place on a rolling basis until all openings are filled. There are openings for Day Shift (generally 8 am - 6 pm) or Night Shift (generally 6 pm - 8 am). Actual shift times will vary depending on business need. Hourly Rate $15.00/hr - $18.00/hr. This range is estimated for a Seasonal Lab Technician in Memphis, Tennessee. Actual hourly rate may differ based upon location.
What You'll Do:
  • Prepare and analyze samples for a wide variety of testing procedures
  • Follow the outlined methodologies and Standard Operating Procedures for the tests assigned
  • Learn to operate and maintain scientific equipment/instrumentation
  • Document activities and report results in a concise and accurate manner
  • Assist group leaders and analysts in ordering and inventorying consumables, chemicals, and parts for instrumentation
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of laboratory equipment and areas
  • Model our core value of safety by enabling a culture in which you are actively contributing to a safe work environment
  • Other duties as required

What You'll Bring:

  • Knowledge of analytical method, instruments, general lab practices, and lab safety
