Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients in fast-paced settings.

  • Triage incoming ER patients and prioritize treatment based on acuity.

  • Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocol.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and quality standards.

  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and contribute to performance targets.

  • Monitor patient status, document findings, and communicate changes to the team.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans.

  • Participate in ongoing professional development and pursue opportunities for advancement.

  • Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.

  • Maintain an organized and clean ER environment to optimize workflow.

  • Adhere to contract terms, on-site shifts, and assist with coverage as needed.


Experience/Qualifications

  • Active RN license with Emergency Department/ACLS certification.

  • Minimum 2 years ER nursing experience in fast-paced settings.

  • Proficiency in triage, rapid assessment, and prioritization of acuity.

  • Strong knowledge of infection control, safety protocols, and quality standards.

  • Ability to administer medications per orders and document accurately.

  • Experience tracking KPIs and contributing to performance targets.

  • Excellent communication skills for team huddles and handoffs.

  • Demonstrated collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to adjust care plans.

  • Ability to educate patients/families and provide clear discharge instructions.
