Job description

Patent Agent / Technical Advisor – Electrical Engineering & Software
Location: Denver, CO
Work Type: Onsite
Practice Area: Patent Prosecution & Litigation
Experience: 3+ Years
Compensation: $99,600 – $145,800 (based on experience and location)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and prosecute U.S. and foreign patent applications.

  • Provide technical and strategic IP counsel to attorneys and clients.

  • Conduct prior art analysis and assist with invention disclosure documentation.

  • Support IP portfolio management for clients in the software, electrical, computer engineering, and telecommunications sectors.

  • Work collaboratively with attorneys across offices on both prosecution and litigation matters.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of patent prosecution experience, including application drafting.

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Telecommunications required.

  • Registration to practice before the USPTO is a plus but not required.

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and prioritize multiple assignments.

  • Experience with foreign patent prosecution is helpful.
