Job Summary
Duties will focus on research and development of video and image processing applications for chemistry laboratory experiments.
The tasks involved reading scientific peer-reviewed research articles, conducting seminars for knowledge sharing, coding and implementation, testing, and result generation, scientific writing for peer-reviewed publications, abstract submission, and other scientific works as needed.
Required Qualifications

• Must be enrolled at UWG in a minimum of 6 credit hours.
• Must have and maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA
• Python programming, web programming, image and video processing, machine learning for computer vision, and relevant skills.
• Hands-on experience in any programming language, not limited to Python, Java, C#, etc.
• Candidate must have completed CS1301: Computer Science I, CS1302: Computer Science II/ COMP2320: Principles of Programming or equivalent courses.

Physical Requirements/ Working Conditions

• Working capability in a computer and collaboration with the chemistry lab.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of the fundamentals of image processing, computer vision, machine learning, artificial intelligence, statistics, and data science.
• Scientific and technical writing skills without generating text using any AI tools.
• Teamwork and presentation skills to present to technical and non-technical audiences.
