APX Endodontics is seeking a skilled and highly motivated Dental Assistant to specialize in Endodontics. This crucial role acts as the doctor's right hand during procedures, ensuring precision, efficiency, and a calm, stress-free experience for patients receiving root canal therapy, endodontic surgery, and advanced pain management. APX Endodontics is a modern, patient-centered endodontic private practice located in Cambridge, MA. We specialize exclusively in advanced procedures, including root canals and endodontic surgery. Our mission is to combine cutting-edge technology with compassionate care, ensuring even the most anxious patients feel safe and supported. We are a small, highly collaborative team led by a teaching endodontist, dedicated to professional growth, kindness, and clinical excellence.

Job Description

Chairside Endodontic Assisting: Assist the doctor directly during specialized procedures such as root canal therapy and endodontic surgeries.
Imaging: Take and process high-quality digital X-rays and Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) scans.
Clinical Preparation: Efficiently set up, prepare, and break down treatment operatories.
Infection Control: Maintain and execute top-tier sterilization and infection control protocols in strict compliance with OSHA and CDC standards.
Organization: Manage clinical equipment, supplies, and inventory, ensuring overall clinical organization.
Learning and Growth: Actively engage in learning advanced endodontic techniques and utilizing cutting-edge endodontic technology.

Salary Range

Full-time $23 - $32 per hour

Shift & Schedule

Up to 40hrs/week
Operating Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Typical Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (consistent hours).
No Weekends: Saturday and Sunday off.

Requirements
  • Emergency Dentistry
  • Experienced Dental Assistant (1+ years)
  • Infection Control License
  • Registered dental assistant / Certified dental assistant
  • X-ray / Radiography Certification

Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent + active Massachusetts license
Dental X-Ray Certification
Strong communication skills and a calm, professional presence
Commitment to high infection control standards
1 year of experience preferred (not required — we’ll train the right candidate!)
