Job description

Manufacturing Line Support Technician

Location: 100 E. Oakton St, Des Plaines, IL 60018

Schedule: Hourly Full-Time — 3rd Shift, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. (with availability for 8–12-hour shifts as needed)

Compensation: $19.52/hr plus $0.26 shift differential

A day in this role

When the shift starts, you’ll partner with machine operators to keep production moving. You’ll review work orders and machine instructions, set up materials, and assist during runs. Throughout the shift you’ll conduct quality checks, keep equipment and the surrounding area clean, and help reduce waste so the team meets production goals. Safety is constant—PPE on, hazards assessed, and procedures followed. If you enjoy hands-on, physical work with plenty of variety, you’ll thrive here.

What you’ll do
  • Assist operators with machine operations and material changes
  • Read, interpret, and follow work orders and machine instructions
  • Perform routine quality checks and document results
  • Maintain machine cleanliness and complete housekeeping to keep the area safe
  • Monitor usage to minimize scrap and help achieve production targets
  • Work safely and model reliable attendance
Training and growth

You’ll receive hands-on training with ongoing learning opportunities designed to help you progress toward becoming a qualified Operator.
