Job description

Overview:The Beverage Technician at Cirona Labs plays a vital role in the production of our cannabis-infused seltzer line. This position is responsible for operating and maintaining brewing and infusion equipment, ensuring high product quality and consistency, and following strict safety, sanitation, and regulatory guidelines. The ideal candidate will bring mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to react quickly to process events.As part of our dynamic manufacturing team, the Brewing Operator will be cross-trained in batching, packaging, raw material handling, quality assurance testing, and inventory control.Accountabilities & ImpactSafetyStrictly follow all Cirona Labs safety protocols and cannabis industry compliance standards.Report potential safety hazards and assist in resolving them proactively.Participate in safety training programs and support the promotion of a safe workplace.QualityMonitor beverage blending parameters such as pH, DO (Dissolved Oxygen), CO₂ concentration, product gravity, and cannabinoid concentrations using analytical equipment.Conduct in-process and final product quality control checks to ensure compliance with Cirona's specifications and regulatory requirements.Take immediate corrective action on any deviations to protect product integrity and consumer safety.Adhere to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and internal quality assurance procedures.Equipment ProcessingOperate brewing, infusion, and control systems in accordance with SOPs.Perform cleaning-in-place (CIP) to maintain hygienic and contamination-free equipment.Troubleshoot equipment issues and collaborate with maintenance as necessary to reduce downtime.Maintain cannabis-specific compliance during equipment usage and sanitation.Production EfficiencyExecute production schedules efficiently to meet daily targets and delivery timelines.Optimize brewing and infusion processes to reduce waste and maximize uptime.Work collaboratively with brewers, packaging operators, maintenance, and QA teams.Documentation & ComplianceAccurately document all production activity, including batch records, ingredient logs, QA checklists, and deviation reports.Comply with Cirona Labs' SOPs as well as local and federal cannabis manufacturing regulations.Support readiness for audits and inspections by maintaining complete and compliant documentation.Skills & Experience NeededHigh school diploma or equivalent required.At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing, beverage production, or similar processing environment.Prior experience in brewing, fermentation, or cannabis infusion strongly preferred.Familiarity with filtration technologies (e.g., centrifuge, reverse osmosis) is highly desirable.Basic computer skills required, including Microsoft Office and digital batch tracking systems.Must be at least 21 years of age due to cannabis industry requirements.Forklift experience preferred (certification not required).Working ConditionsFast-paced, team-oriented production environment with frequent changes and tight timelines.Exposure to varying temperatures, loud equipment, chemical and liquid handling.Willingness to work rotating shifts, including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.Able to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on feet 8-12 hours daily.Must wear PPE including bump cap, steel-toe shoes, gloves, safety glasses, and, when required, dust masks or PAPRs.Compliance with GMPs and cannabis handling standards required at all times.Cirona Labs is an Equal Opportunity Employer and complies with ADA regulations as applicable.
