Job description

A growing utility contractor is seeking a jetter vacuum combo truck and/or CCTV Operator to join our team in Atlanta, GA. This position operates commercial vacuum trucks, jetter equipment, and CCTV inspection systems to clean and inspect underground sewer and stormwater infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a CDL and be ready to work in a field construction environment serving residential, commercial, and municipal clients throughout metro Atlanta.

Key Responsibilities - Jet-Vac Operator or CCTV Sewer Camera Operator

  • Operate Class B commercial vehicles including vacuum trucks, jetting trucks, CCTV trucks, and combination units
  • Perform video inspection and cleaning of underground sewer and stormwater systems
  • Conduct confined space entry operations following safety protocols
  • Assist with equipment setup, maintenance, and daily pre-trip inspections
  • Complete service documentation and maintain accurate field reports

Qualifications - Jet-Vac Operator or CCTV Operator

  • Valid Class B CDL license required (tanker and air brake endorsements preferred)
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must pass background check, MVR check, and drug screening
  • Ability to work occasional overnight travel for project assignments

Preferred Qualifications - Jetter Operator or CCTV Sewer Camera Operator

  • Previous experience operating vacuum trucks or heavy equipment
  • OSHA 10 or 30-hour safety certification
  • NASSCO PACP or LACP pipeline inspection certification
  • Knowledge of sewer system maintenance and trenchless rehabilitation methods

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds regularly
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces including manholes and underground utilities
  • Capable of squatting, crawling, and working in various positions for extended periods
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions year-round
