Overview

UBS Arena, the premier entertainment and sports venue located at Belmont Park, is seeking a dynamic and highly organized Event Logistics Supervisor to oversee and execute all aspects of exterior logistics related to event-day parking, traffic flow, and transportation. This role ensures seamless guest arrival and departure experiences, manages vendor coordination, and supervises operational staff to support efficient logistics outside the arena.

This role pays an hourly rate of $28.75

Responsibilities

Traffic & Parking Coordination:

  • Lead key coordination activities between parking lots, transit facilities, intersections, offramps, rideshare zones, and other access points to ensure smooth vehicle traffic flow and guest movement.
  • Oversees UBS Arena parking operations by managing and directing Parking Ambassadors and Parking Supervisors across all lot areas to ensure efficient, safe, and guest-focused service.
  • Work closely with third-party parking, shuttle operations, and pedestrian traffic control operators to manage real-time traffic conditions and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Assist the Manager with the execution of traffic flow plans for parking lots, garages, and surrounding areas.

Event Day Campus Operations & Oversight:

  • Perform multiple inspections of garages and parking lots throughout the event day to ensure operational standards are met.
  • Operate and monitor IP Parking systems and Park Assist technology.
  • Ensure campus and lots are fully set up and ready prior to each event.
  • Maintain rigorous quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures across all onsite parking and transportation areas, including the routine inspection and repositioning of bike rack barricades to ensure proper setup; relocation and proper placement of pyramid base signs for accurate wayfinding and traffic guidance; and daily removal of trash and litter to uphold cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Additionally, perform limited snow and ice removal from walkways, access points, and designated areas during inclement weather to prevent slip hazards and maintain operational continuity.

Command Center:

  • Support the operation of the Command Center in the Security Operations Center (SOC).
  • Monitor real-time parking and traffic data using platforms such as Waze, NY511, Park Assist, camera systems, and other monitoring tools.

Inventory & Equipment Accountability:

  • Maintain accountability of all mobile parking and telecom equipment issued to staff.
  • Conduct inventory checks of traffic materials, signage, and supplies in coordination with the parking operations team.
  • Inspect, sign in and out, and ensure proper use and care of all fleet vehicles and equipment-including trucks, golf carts, and related assets-before, during, and after each event.

Guest Experience & Incident Reporting:

  • Ensure the safety of guests and staff during ingress and egress across campus outdoor areas by monitoring foot and vehicle traffic flow, identifying and mitigating potential hazards, coordinating with security personnel when needed, and maintaining clear, accessible pathways during events, peak hours, and adverse weather conditions.
  • Enforce event day checklists, ensuring tasks are completed for the entire duration of each event.
  • Assist with gathering information to respond to guest inquiries and investigate complaints or concerns.
  • Report any traffic-related incidents in parking lots to the Manager in a timely manner.

Employee Parking Program:

  • Assist the Manager in enforcing the employee parking program and ensuring staff compliance.

Culture & Values:

  • Uphold and promote UBS Arena's core values while on property and in all professional interactions.
  • Train and mentor new Parking Supervisors and Ambassadors on event logistics, operational procedures, and customer service standards.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in an event setting preferred.
  • Previous experience in parking or traffic operations is a plus.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Working knowledge of parking management systems and best practices.
  • Understanding of safety regulations and incident response.
  • Strong leadership with the ability to give clear and concise direction.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to anticipate issues and implement immediate corrective actions.

Other Requirements:

  • Must be able to legally operate vehicles.
  • Must be available to work extended hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed.
