Job description

Senior Mechanical Designer
Our client is looking for a Senior Mechanical Designer to lead the design and delivery of HVAC and plumbing systems on building projects, including new developments and renovations. 
Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead mechanical system designs for projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Coordinate work with project teams and provide guidance to junior and intermediate designers.
  • Review client requirements and develop practical, cost-effective design solutions.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers throughout the design process.
  • Assist with equipment selection and preparation of design drawings, reports, and specifications.
  • Support project delivery by monitoring schedules and coordinating technical documentation.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years designing HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial, multi-residential, or institutional buildings.
  • Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (PMP considered an asset).
  • Solid understanding of building systems coordination and construction documentation.
  • Knowledge of relevant building and plumbing codes.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
