Building Engineer Building Automation Systems (BAS)Join a High-Performance Facilities Operations Team

We're seeking an experienced Building Engineer with a strong background in Building Automation Systems (BAS) to support the operation of a large, mission-critical facility. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting complex building systems, supporting engineering operations, and ensuring HVAC and building automation systems perform at peak efficiency.

Available Shifts:
Day Shift and Midnight Shift openings available.

You'll monitor and manage building automation systems, respond to alarms, support critical facility operations, and coordinate maintenance activities that keep essential building systems operating reliably.

What You'll Do
  • Monitor multiple Building Automation System (BAS) platforms to ensure equipment is operating within established parameters

  • Respond to, prioritize, and dispatch building system alarms while coordinating corrective actions

  • Review system trends, alarm history, and previous shift communications to identify recurring issues

  • Monitor and manage high-priority work orders through the CMMS

  • Escalate critical building system issues to facility leadership and coordinate response efforts

  • Support remote troubleshooting of HVAC and mechanical equipment with engineering teams

  • Coordinate vendor access, work permits, and contractor activities

  • Verify required documentation before contractor work begins

  • Maintain accurate shift logs, maintenance records, and work order documentation

  • Assist with work order creation, routing, and completion

  • Monitor facility communications and respond to operational requests in real time

  • Support daily operations in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience operating and troubleshooting Building Automation Systems (BAS) in commercial, industrial, healthcare, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or mission-critical facilities

  • Experience with WebCTRL or other major BAS platforms

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC equipment, controls, and building systems

  • Experience using CMMS or work order management software

  • Trade school education or technical training in HVAC, controls, electrical, or building systems preferred

  • BAS, HVAC, or controls certifications are a plus

  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities

  • Experience coordinating projects, mentoring teammates, or supporting technical operations is highly desirable
