Job description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Panel Builder to join our Building Automation. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate-or upcoming graduate-of a technical HVAC, electrical, mechanical, or skilled trades program who is interested in building a long-term career in the Building Automation and Commercial HVAC industry.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in organized and thoughtful work, and has a genuine interest in commercial HVAC systems, controls, and automation technology. The selected candidate will work closely with a senior certified panel builder to learn control panel assembly, wiring, testing, and production processes in a hands-on environment.
While prior panel-building experience is a plus, we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates strong attention to detail, reliability, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn. Candidates with coursework, internships, or hands-on training related to HVAC, electrical systems, controls, automation, or industrial technology are encouraged to apply.
Pay Scale:
$20/hour+, commensurate with experience.

  •  Assist with building and wiring control panels from layout drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and work instructions.
  •  Mechanically assemble components onto backplates and install completed panels into enclosures.
  •  Route, bundle, and dress wiring neatly through wireway or as harnessed bundles.
  •  Assist with terminating conductors to terminal blocks, relays, controllers, power supplies, breakers, drives, and other panel components.
  •  Support testing and basic troubleshooting efforts to ensure panels meet QA/QC standards.
  •  Complete assembly, wiring, and testing documentation accurately and neatly.
  •  Maintain tools, drawings, and records in an organized and controlled manner.
  •  Participate in training as new products and processes are introduced.
  •  Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment.
  •  Perform other duties as assigned.
  •  High school diploma or equivalent required.
  •  Technical school coursework or training in HVAC, electrical systems, industrial technology, or related fields preferred.
  •  Recent or upcoming graduates from trade schools such as J-Tech or Tulsa Welding School are encouraged to apply.
  •  Basic ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings is a plus.
  •  Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to safely use hand tools and small power tools.
  •  Demonstrated ability to stay organized, follow instructions, and maintain attention to detail.
  •  Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to neat workmanship and safety.
  •  Reliable, coachable, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
  •  Positive attitude and willingness to take direction and constructive feedback.
  •  Forklift experience is a plus, but not required.
Physical Requirements
  •  Ability to stand for extended periods of time throughout the workday.
  •  Ability to repeatedly lift and move materials and assemblies weighing up to 70 lbs.
  •  Ability to climb stairs.
  •  Ability to work in a warehouse/shop and manufacturing-style environment.
