Job description

Role Overview:

The Blue Seal Boiler Operator is responsible for the safe operation, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of high-pressure boiler systems and plant utilities that support manufacturing operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring equipment reliability, utility system performance, and regulatory compliance throughout the facility.

This is a highly hands-on position requiring strong industrial experience, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to independently identify and resolve equipment issues. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating high-pressure boiler systems while supporting utilities and equipment within a corrugated packaging, paper manufacturing, converting, or similar industrial production environment.

Job Requirements:
  • Valid New Jersey Blue Seal High-Pressure Boiler Operator License required.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience operating and maintaining high-pressure boiler systems in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting boiler and utility operations within a corrugated packaging, paper manufacturing, converting, or similar industrial production environment is required.
  • Strong knowledge of steam systems, boiler operations, water treatment, condensate systems, and plant utilities.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting and performing preventive maintenance on boiler systems, utility equipment, and related mechanical systems.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues independently.
  • Strong understanding of industrial safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations and working closely with maintenance and production teams.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work overtime and support operational needs as required.
