HIRING IMMEDIATELY: BOILER OPERATOR IN CHICAGO, IL
Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Coiler Operator to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. This individual will be responsible for operating the steam boilers and ancillary equipment per local and state standards. The ideal candidate will possess Stationary Engineer License with the city of Chicago, minimum of 5 years of stationary engineer experience, and more listed below. Pay, Schedule, and Location
  • Starting at $50/hour
  • Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision
  • Schedule TBD, rotating shifts
  • Located in Chicago, Illinois

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate the steam boilers and ancillary equipment per local and state standards
  • Inspect, troubleshoot and repair steam boilers and ancillary equipment including compressors, generators and pumps
  • Maintain a current stationary engineer operator’s license for local and state certification
  • Provide coverage when a Stationary Engineer is needed at a facility
  • Perform preventive maintenance on the steam boiler and ancillary equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment, both electrical (excluding PLC’s) and mechanical problems relating to boiler equipment and systems, including pneumatic and plumbing problems related to boilers
  • Organize and maintain equipment, department spare parts inventory and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; requisition of parts; verifying receipt
  • Maintain daily logs, equipment documentation, pm documentation, work orders, pass downs and time sheet
  • Assist plant maintenance when required
  • Maintain proper chemical levels for boiler systems and ancillary equipment
  • Inspection, maintenance and repair of all boiler and related equipment to reduce waste and maintain efficiency
  • Controls and reduces equipment downtime by performing preventative maintenance and repairs timely, accurately and efficiently, training, informing production staff of routine preventive maintenance schedules and coordinating maintenance down time with management and scheduling when applicable
  • Use the maintenance computer program to interface with work order, parts and PM systems
  • Perform other duties and jobs that may be assigned to them as required by the company

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Must have Stationary Engineer License with the city of Chicago
  • Work rotating shifts
  • Minimum of 5 years of stationary engineer experience
  • Technical experience preferred
  • HVAC license
  • Experience reading blue print schematics
  • Willingness to work in rotating shifts weekend
