Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Athletic Trainer to join our team and support the athletic programs across our high schools. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries, and will play a crucial role in maintaining the health and well-being of our student-athletes.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive athletic training services to student-athletes, including injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation.
  • Develop and implement injury prevention programs.
  • Maintain accurate records of injuries, treatments, and rehabilitation progress.
  • Coordinate with coaches, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure proper care and management of student-athletes.
  • Educate student-athletes, coaches, and parents on injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation techniques.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of emergency action plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or a related field.
  • Current certification by the Board of Certification (BOC) for the Athletic Trainer.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Athletic Trainer in the state of New Jersey.
  • CPR and AED certification.
  • Strong knowledge of sports medicine, injury prevention, and rehabilitation techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of student-athletes, coaches, and healthcare professionals.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and travel with athletic teams as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, or a related field.
  • Previous experience working as an Athletic Trainer in a high school setting.
  • Familiarity with New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) rules and regulations.
