The facility is designed to become the premier destination for youth and adult sports, recreation, fitness, dining, and family entertainment while serving as a gathering place for the local community.

Our facility features basketball, volleyball, pickleball, indoor turf fields, bowling, a dual-level laser tag arena, Krazy Darts, miniature golf, arcade games, a full-service restaurant and bar, fitness center, Child Watch, and flexible event spaces capable of hosting birthday parties, tournaments, corporate outings, and community celebrations.

Position Summary

Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and general facility upkeep to ensure Henderson Sport & Social remains safe, clean, fully operational, and guest-ready every day.

Facilities Maintenance Technicians protect the guest experience by identifying and resolving facility issues after they impact our guests or team members. They are problem solvers who combine technical skill, urgency, and teamwork to keep Henderson Sport & Social operating at its highest level. The best maintenance work is the work our guests never notice because problems are prevented after they occur.

A successful Facilities Maintenance Technician:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Preventative Maintenance & Repairs

  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and general repairs throughout the facility.
  • Maintain attractions, sports equipment, fitness equipment, restaurant equipment, building systems, and guest-facing amenities to ensure they remain safe, functional, and guest-ready.
  • Complete assigned work orders, maintenance logs, and preventative maintenance schedules while communicating recurring concerns to the Facilities Maintenance Manager.
  • Identify opportunities to improve facility operations, reduce downtime, and recommend preventative maintenance solutions after repairs become necessary.

Facility Operations

  • Maintain and repair facility equipment including but not limited to bowling amenities, Laser Tag systems, Mini Golf features, Krazy Darts, sports equipment, furniture, lighting, plumbing, doors, painting, drywall, carpentry, and other building components within the scope of training.
  • Assist with inventory management by maintaining maintenance supplies, replacement parts, tools, and equipment while notifying leadership when replenishment is needed.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors as directed while communicating project updates to the Facilities Maintenance Manager.
  • Support the installation, inspection, and maintenance of new attractions, equipment, and facility improvements.

Safety & Emergency Response

  • Conduct daily facility inspections to ensure all public spaces, attractions, emergency equipment, kitchens, sports areas, and guest amenities remain safe and operational.
  • Respond appropriately to facility emergencies including equipment failures, utility interruptions, water leaks, fire alarms, medical emergencies, evacuations, and other incidents in accordance with Henderson Sport & Social Emergency Action Plans.
  • Immediately communicate safety concerns, facility hazards, and emergency situations to the Facilities Maintenance Manager.

Teamwork & Guest Service

  • Provide exceptional guest service by greeting guests, answering questions, offering assistance, and representing Henderson Sport & Social professionally during every interaction.
  • Support other departments whenever operationally appropriate and within the scope of your training to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Maintain organized maintenance shops, tools, equipment, and workspaces to promote efficiency, safety, and operational excellence.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events based on business needs.
  • Excellent communication skills with a team-first mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred:

  • Commercial or facility maintenance
  • Plumbing
  • Electrical
  • Carpentry
  • Drywall and painting
  • HVAC
  • Preventative maintenance programs
  • CPR/AED or First Aid Certification (training may be provided)

Physical Requirements

  • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in varying environments for extended periods.
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds and occasionally 100 pounds or more with assistance.
  • Safely operate ladders, lifts, hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
  • Maintain a professional appearance while working in guest-facing areas throughout the facility.
