Description: Roseville Area Schools is seeking an Assistant Basketball Coach for the 2026-2027 school year.
Major Responsibilities: To assist in carrying out the objectives of the Activities program as outlined by the Boys Head Basketball Coach. To assist in instructing participants in individual, group, and team techniques, tactics, and physical training necessary for the realization of success; to implement teaching and coaching philosophies consistent with Roseville Area School District.
Responsible To: Tom Critchley, Head Basketball Coach
Qualifications:
โ€ข Previous coaching experience preferred.
โ€ข Demonstrated ability to work in a positive, supportive manner with participants, parents, coaches, school administration and staff.
โ€ข Demonstrated ability to promote the self-esteem of youth.
โ€ข Demonstrate knowledge of coaching techniques in the areas of skill development, strategy, and interpersonal team relations or knowledge of the sport and the ability to learn the techniques in a quick manner.
โ€ข Possess strong communication and organizational skills.
โ€ข Meet and maintain coaching standards as determined by the District and the MSHSL.
โ€ข Commitment to an equitable experience for all, demonstrated understanding of cultural competence.
Compensation: Competitive assistant coaching stipend as outlined in the district Teacher contract.
