Job Overview:
B&H is looking for Pro Audio Content Writers to craft product descriptions, research products, and update the B&H website with new and accurate product information for pro audio and audio-adjacent products and categories.
Ideal candidates will be enthusiastic about the current state of pro audio, sound for film, podcasting, and technology in general, specifically relating to the latest gear and software, industry trends, and unique accessories. Candidates should have a working knowledge of pro and consumer level audio equipment, experience in studio, sound for film, or live sound settings, and familiarity with how different types of gear can be matched to different levels of audio engineers and enthusiasts.
A Content Writer will ideally have specific knowledge and insight on a broad range of topics:
  • Comparisons between brand offerings
  • What beginner/intermediate/pro audio engineers look for when selecting audio interfaces, microphones, audio software, and more
  • An understanding of current wireless audio technology and what features are unique or desirable in a crowded market
  • Audio needs for wide variety of podcasting solutions

Responsible for copy for majority of Pro Audio items, ranging from headphones and microphones to audio interfaces, wireless systems, and mainstay accessories. Content Writers will also be involved with subcategory reviews and updates, produce creative articles and product announcements, and handle external requests for product updates.
All Pro Audio Content Writers should have past studio, on set, or live sound experience to form an inherent knowledge base for talking about gear. Successful writers will have in-depth knowledge of classic recording gear and how it influences modern releases, an understanding of wireless audio technology for multiple end users, experience with a variety of digital audio software, and be up to date with the most current podcasting solutions.
B&H is looking for candidates who are excited about audio, have a strong working knowledge and unfettered curiosity, and would like to share information on gear and process with others.
