Job description

Moraine Park Technical College is establishing a candidate pool for potential part-time project based Adjunct Faculty positions in Economic and Workforce Development at the Beaver Dam, Fond du Lac, Horicon, and West Bend campuses, and/or varies business locations. These positions encompass Artificial Intelligence/MS Copilot, Communication/Emotional Intelligence, Leadership, Robotics/Programmable Logic Controllers, and Safety - ARC Flash.

EWD Adjunct Faculty roles are parttime, projectbased positions that may range from short, 4hour assignments to longer engagements. These roles offer flexible teaching schedules and varied class locations each term. Instructors may be assigned to teach at sites throughout the Moraine Park District, including campuses and business locations, with primary needs typically occurring Tuesdayโ€“Thursday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Reporting directly to the Associate Dean of Training Solutions, these individuals play a key role in delivering quality education within the district.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare for and facilitate learning in the assigned courses according to the Collegeโ€™s core values. Establish a professional and safe learning environment. Set the classroom tone by modeling appropriate workplace skills and behavior. Maintain a positive climate for learning by performing classroom management and being aware of, monitoring, and enforcing the Student Code of Conduct.
  • Meet student learning needs by incorporating a variety of teaching methods and assessments.
  • Maintain student confidentiality, records, and documentation as required by Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Submit grades within the expected time-frame.
  • Provide timely verbal and written feedback to the students to ensure continued growth and development.
  • May participate in the development, implementation, evaluation, and updating of curriculum.
  • Assist with student recruitment and positively promote the College programs and services offered.
  • Promote retention and student success through the utilization of referrals to College services and resources.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with K-12, Department of Corrections (DOC), community, and industry partners beyond the classroom.
  • Actively maintain proficient knowledge and skills in emerging trends and current occupational practices. Complete annual professional development activities in areas of Faculty Quality Assurance Standards (FQAS) competencies. Complete all required training

Other Position Requirements:

  • Flexible scheduling may be required to include evenings and weekends.
  • This position may require teaching and/or travel to other MPTC (Moraine Park Technical College) campus locations, client/contract work sites, and/or Department of Corrections (DOC) institutions.
  • Must possess a valid driverโ€™s license.

Hiring Range: Adjunct pay rates may vary between $39.85 - $44.25/hour based on course configuration

Starting: Fall 2026 - Spring 2027
