Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial interviews and comprehensive mental health evaluations, accurately documenting client information from the point of entry to the closure of treatment.
  • Develop robust treatment plans personalized for individuals, families, and groups, ensuring they address specific mental health, behavioral, and emotional wellness needs.
  • Lead individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based modalities to promote healing and personal growth.
  • Monitor client progress throughout treatment, making necessary adjustments to intervention strategies based on feedback and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including psychiatrists, medical doctors, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care and provide referrals as needed.
  • Assist families and primary caregivers in navigating mental health challenges and offer resources to enhance their supportive role in clients' recovery.
  • Identify any behaviors or barriers that may hinder recovery and develop preventative strategies in consultation with the client.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your clients will encompass a diverse demographic of individuals, couples, and families dealing with a range of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. Our approach is holistic, considering each client's unique background and circumstances to provide culturally competent support that fosters trust and understanding.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as a Mental Health Counselor in the state of Nevada (LMFT, LCPC, LCSW).
  • Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, with experience in those like the AVATAR platform highly desirable.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal abilities that foster therapeutic relationships.
  • A supportive and empathetic nature that reflects a commitment to client welfare and mental health advocacy.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in a community health clinic or setting that adheres to best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
  • Understanding of how physical health conditions intersect with mental health issues.
  • Prior experience with a diverse client base, including those with addiction disorders.
  • Strong familiarity with the effects of medication prescribed for mental health treatment.
Compensation and Benefits
