Job description

What Impact You'll Have: GRVTY is seeking Systems Administrators to support Department of Defense/IC missions at Fort Meade, MD. You will be responsible for Linux Systems Administration while supporting IC missions that are vital to our national security. What You'll be Owning * Creates, and maintains RedHat Linux virtual machines running in a cloud infrastructure (Amazon AWS).

Evaluates systems for IAVA compliance and applies necessary security updates/patches. Performs command line system administration tasks on virtual machines. * Handles regular system backups and periodically tests backups for functionality.

Communicates with developers and dev ops team members to provide system administration support. Apply patches and upgrades. * Troubleshoot server issues.

Administer customer accounts Deploy monitoring tools. Deploy applications and tools. Assist with escalated customer tickets.

Installation and cabling of equipment What You Must Have: Active TS/SCI with polygraph (polygraph must be within last 6 years) 10 years of systems administration experience OR technical bachelor's degree + 5 years of systems administration experience Linux command line system administration (CentOS, RedHat, Amazon Linux, or equivalent) Experience applying system updates via yum or equivalent patching repository Experience working within a cloud environment a plus (Amazon AWS, Azure, or equivalent cloud infrastructure with virtual machines) Experience or knowledge of RedSeal Network Mapping tool a plus Knowledge of software deployed on systems a plus but not required (Elasticsearch, Docker, Kubernetes, NiFi) What Would be Nice to Have Syslog/NxLog Nagios or other similar monitoring applications * Scripting experience (Python/Perl) #LI-PS1
