Structures and major assembly experience preferred.

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree engineering or a related curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Advanced degree in engineering related field preferred. 5 years in the specific technical discipline or 10 years broad engineering experience in several technical disciplines, or 3 years in the specific technical discipline with Masters degree, or 1 year in the specific technical discipline with PhD.Position Purpose:Assist with the planning, coordination, performance of methods, tooling, and design supporting the development and production of Gulfstream products and services.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions:

  • For manufacturing process to which individual is assigned: provide and maintain detailed work instructions, drive quality improvements, efficiency improvements, material presentation enhancements, manage the daily work plan, provide metrics for quality and schedule performance, and coordinate engineering and tooling changes as required. to meet Operations goals.
  • Contribute to the planning, developing and coordinating of important manufacturing and engineering projects aimed at process development and improvement in the manufacturing areas.
  • Provide specialized technical assistance and training to Operations Engineering team members.
  • Use advanced techniques and modified extension of theories to provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems that affect the successful manufacture of the aircraft, installation of systems, or performance of the final product.
  • Determine and develop individual approach to solutions within schedule and cost objectives.
  • Work under limited supervision - work should only be required. to be reviewed for accuracy and consistency with meeting overall objectives.
  • Act as liaison with representatives from other organizations and suppliers.

Additional Functions:

  • Actively work to improve daily processes and ensures all work meets customer requirements. .
  • Maintain a current knowledge of developments in the field of specialty and/or other related aircraft fields in order to recommend innovations to improve quality and effectiveness of processes and company product. .

Perform other duties as assigned.

  • The level of technical skill and abilities appropriate for this grade will be established by each discipline.

This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
