Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)

Are you a nursing leader who is passionate about developing people, improving quality, and delivering exceptional resident care? We're looking for an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to partner with our Director of Nursing in leading clinical operations, strengthening regulatory compliance, advancing quality initiatives, and building a culture where both residents and team members thrive.

This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by combining clinical leadership, operational excellence, and team development in a collaborative senior living environment.

Compensation: The annualized pay range for this position is $110k - $145k. Placement within the range will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.

What You'll Do
  • Partner with the Director of Nursing to oversee daily clinical operations and maintain high standards of resident care.
  • Lead quality improvement efforts, including infection prevention, wound management, clinical documentation, incident follow-up, and regulatory readiness.
  • Support nursing education through onboarding, orientation, competencies, skills validation, and ongoing staff development.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop nurses and nursing assistants while fostering accountability and professional growth.
  • Monitor clinical outcomes, identify trends, implement corrective actions, and collaborate with interdisciplinary leaders to continuously improve care and operations.
  • Serve as the nursing leader in the Director of Nursing's absence.
What You'll Bring
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment and CPR certification.
  • Leadership experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or senior living.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical operations, quality assurance, infection prevention, regulatory compliance, and documentation.
  • Experience leading and developing nursing teams.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records and Microsoft Office.
  • A collaborative leadership style, sound clinical judgment, and a passion for coaching others and delivering outstanding resident care.
