The platform supports a growing portfolio of multifamily loans and is focused on operational rigor, proactive risk management, and responsive client service.
Role Summary
The Multifamily Agency Loan Asset Manager will focus on transactional asset management and borrower requests, supporting the administration of a multifamily loan portfolio. This role is ideal for a professional with agency experience who is comfortable managing detailed workflows, interpreting loan documents, and coordinating across stakeholders.
As a member of a growing platform, this position also offers exposure to process development and platform scaling initiatives, with a clear path toward increased responsibility over time.
Key Responsibilities
  • Transaction Management
  • Evaluate and execute borrower-driven requests in accordance with loan agreements and the applicable GSE standards
  • Manage transactions from initial request through final resolution, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely execution
  • Review a variety of requests, including but not limited to:
  • Ownership changes and equity transfers
  • Property management updates
  • Loan assumptions

  • Lease approvals and property-level consents
  • Loan modifications, extensions, and restructurings
  • Insurance-related claims and disbursements
  • Assess transaction risk and ensure consistency with agency guidelines and firm credit standards
  • Escalate complex issues appropriately and contribute to solution development

Portfolio Oversight & Asset Management Support
  • Maintain ongoing awareness of borrower performance and compliance with loan covenants
  • Work with Subservicers on certain requests and approvals
  • Identify emerging risks or performance issues
  • Respond to borrower inquiries and provide clear guidance on GSE requirements and the transaction processes
  • Support portfolio-level initiatives, including reporting, data integrity, and operational improvements
  • Participate in broader asset management activities when needed, such as financial reviews, inspections, or watchlist discussions

Platform Development & Collaboration
  • Work closely with internal teams including originations, underwriting, servicing/asset management operations, and capital markets
  • Contribute to process refinement, documentation standards, and workflow enhancements as the platform scales
  • Support initiatives related to automation, data quality, and reporting infrastructure
  • Maintain strong working relationships with borrowers, legal counsel, third-party vendors, and agency contacts

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, economics, or a related field
  • Approximately 3+ years of relevant experience in commercial real estate asset management, servicing, or underwriting
  • Prior experience working with agency loan servicing (Fannie Mae and/or Freddie Mac) preferred
  • Demonstrated exposure to borrower consent processing or transactional asset management

Core Competencies
  • Ability to analyze loan structures and interpret legal documentation in a practical, transaction-oriented context
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including comfort with financial statements and property-level performance metrics
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple concurrent requests in a deadline-driven environment
  • Effective written communication skills, particularly in preparing clear and concise transaction summaries
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a client-focused mindset
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and develop practical solutions
  • Team-oriented, with the ability to collaborate across functions and contribute to a growing platform
  • Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and commitment to continuous improvement
