Job description

Role Summary

The Head of Retirement and Multi-Asset Product is responsible for developing and implementing a commercial plan to drive growth in the global retirement and multi-asset business. This role focuses on developing innovative products and solutions that address client needs, enhance market share, and increase revenue for the firm. This position requires close collaboration with senior management in Multi-Asset and Global Distribution, Global Product, portfolio managers, portfolio specialists, and distribution channels.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a Retirement and Multi-Asset solution and product strategy working with Multi-Asset, the head of Global Retirement Strategy and other global distribution leaders, and Global Product partners to align with the broader firm priorities. Gather competitive intelligence, understand industry trends, and assess current and future client needs.
  • Collaborate with Multi-Asset, the head of Global Retirement Strategy, and global distribution leaders to align the retirement business strategies and growth plans, shaping a comprehensive strategy for services, solutions, products that support these objectives. Partner with regional distribution teams and product colleagues in key international markets to catalyze the delivery of retirement solutions locally.
  • Partner with Multi-Asset, Global Distribution, and Global Product teams to evaluate the feasibility of delivering the product strategy and leverage unique investment capabilities for a competitive advantage.
  • Develop plans to launch T. Rowe's Retirement and Multi-Asset products/services/solutions, working closely with Multi-Asset, the head of Global Retirement Strategy, and other global distribution and investment teams along with the relevant product teams for implementation.
  • Conduct regular product health checks and capacity analysis with the Multi-Asset investment and Global Distribution teams to ensure the product suite meets success standards, taking appropriate action as needed.
  • Coordinate and drive competitor analysis to inform strategic recommendations regarding product positioning.
  • Collaborate with Multi-Asset and the Global Retirement Strategy team to identify and pursue opportunities for TRP to establish thought leadership in the Multi-Asset and Retirement industry through conferences and innovative content delivery.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience, with 15+ years of total relevant work experience and 8+ years in management.

Preferred:

  • MBA or Master's degree in Finance.
  • Extensive knowledge of Multi-Asset and Retirement strategies, market dynamics, and competitive offerings.
  • Demonstrated success in product strategy, development, and management, ensuring excellent client outcomes and commercial success.
  • Proven ability to design products that align with investor demands and market trends.
  • Experience navigating a matrixed global structure across product, investments, distribution, and operations.
  • Strong collaborative skills
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Professional curiosity and drive to explore new opportunities and ideas.
  • Enthusiastic and optimistic with a willingness to take calculated risks.
  • Ability to synthesize information and understand relationships between various data points and objectives.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.
