Job Description

The Delivery Merchandiser - SS Team 1 CDL is a touch freight position and will be assigned to a 2-person route and will be responsible for delivering, stocking, merchandising shelves, racks and displays in assigned accounts by performing the following duties:

What your day will look like:
  • Unloads and transports products from the route truck to retail outlets
  • Responsible for merchandising and rotation of all product inside the outlet to company standards
  • Sets up merchandise and sales promotion displays
  • Communicates any store level issue to management
  • Complies with DOT rules for driving purposes
  • Responsible for safeguarding company assets
  • Maintains rapport with customers
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate truck inventory and monetary accountability.
  • Collects or picks up empty containers or rejected/unsold merchandise
  • Ability to work with a hand-held device
  • Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management
What you need to succeed:
  • Minimum age 21 years old
  • Class A CDL required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
  • Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
  • Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
  • Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1 to 3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be able to operate a manual or motorized pallet jack.
  • Must be able to drive a tandem-axle manual shift tractor.
  • Ability to train all drivers on route responsibilities.
  • Ability to coach on industry standards and terminologies.
  • Ability to identify additional sales opportunities.
Physical Requirements

Position will be required to comply with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program. Position is required to wear safety toed shoes when performing the following tasks: Operating Powered Industrial Equipment or Working in an Area where Powered Industrial Equipment is in use, Fleet Maintenance, Working with Palletized Product, Use of Hand Trucks/Dollies to Deliver Product, Cooler Services, etc.
