POSITION SUMMARY
Clerk II Asset Protection is responsible for the protection of the Company's retail store assets by investigating the loss of asset(s) including merchandise, money, and property. This role is responsible for preventing loss and shrink within their assigned stores through thorough monitoring, investigating, surveillance and other loss prevention tactics to include apprehending shoplifters.

• Conduct surveillance and investigations to identify sources of loss
• Apprehend individuals engaged in shoplifting or other dishonest activity in accordance with company policies and local laws
• Maintain detailed reports of incidents, investigations, and apprehensions
• Collaborate with store management and law enforcement as needed
• Perform routine audits to identify and resolve potential security risks
• Support store compliance with loss prevention policies and procedures
• Contribute to a safe shopping and working environment through active deterrence and visibility
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
High school diploma or GED required, associate degree or relevant certification in Criminal Justice or Security preferred
• 1-2 years of experience in loss prevention, asset protection, security, or related field preferred
• Knowledge of retail operations, shrink reduction strategies, and investigative techniques
• Strong observational skills with the ability to detect suspicious behavior and respond appropriately
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and objective in high-pressure situations
• Basic understanding of laws related to theft, apprehension, and use of surveillance
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and incident documentation
• Comfortable using surveillance equipment, reporting systems, and basic computer applications
• Must be able to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and physically apprehend individuals, if necessary, in accordance with company policy and safety standards
Salary range is between $18.29 - $24.38 Hrly
