Job Description:

Department Overview

TD Asset Based Lending (TDABL) is the asset-based lending division within Commercial National Accounts (CNA) within the Commercial Bank. This dynamic, growing group provides dedicated relationship coverage to asset-based clients with annual revenues generally ranging from $30 million to $2 billion and typical credit requirements in excess of $25 million. Credit relationships are complex and are comprised of both bilateral and syndicated transactions. The group consists of senior asset-based lending and commercial banking professionals who combine specific industry knowledge and extensive deal structuring experience to offer a full suite of customized credit and cash management solutions to meet the complex needs of our clients.

Job Description

This is an exciting entry point opportunity within TD Asset Based Lending. You will be mentored by a team of experts that structure deals for clients with complex and diverse credit and deposit / cash management requirements. The Associate is responsible for:

  • Supporting the team with portfolio expiry management and timely monitoring and control processes. This includes credit writing, monitoring trends in financial and collateral performance, as well as reviewing field audits and appraisals.
  • Recommending credits to Associate Vice President / Director of Credit Execution.
  • Supporting new business and CTP growth of the portfolio. This includes identifying business opportunities amongst existing customers as well as structuring competitive deals for prospective customers.
  • Building new customer relationships and deepening existing relationships by consistently following the Commercial Sales methodology.

Job Requirements

Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

  • 2-3 years of commercial or ABL experience
  • Solid credit, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Financial modelling experience would be an asset.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong team player, with an ability to work independently.
  • Ability to engage in active dialogue with internal and external stakeholders (CCRM, Unit VP, clients, legal counsel, etc.).
  • Ability to travel as appropriate.

Additional Information

An undergraduate or graduate degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or other quantitative discipline is required.
