8:00am-5:00pm/Monday-Friday

Join our Staples Asset Protection Team.  You will be providing support to our fulfillment operations.  Our fulfillment operations are a business-to-business supply chain company that delivers essential products to our customers. 

What you'll be doing:

We are looking for individuals with an Asset Protection background and who understand physical security processes, access control, and CCTV systems.  You will play a critical role in the execution of all Asset Protection and Safety procedures.   You need to have experience handling workplace violence incidents, safety incidents and building evacuations that require notification to Police and Fire. Having strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with others, and strong written and verbal communication skills are positive attributes that are important in this role.   

What you bring to the table: 

  •  Assist in injury and accident reduction programs. 

  • Ensure safety training is completed and documented appropriately. 

  • Perform cargo loss research utilizing CL dashboard   

  • Utilize the Shrink Impact tool to monitor shrink activity, conduct analysis and conduct inspections of product locations to determine root cause of shrink. Monitor the FC adjustment tool to review root cause reasons input by Inventory Control. 

  • Respond to all shrink related emails and requests for follow up on shrink class/sku details for root cause. Conduct a monthly shrink review with the FC operations team to discuss shrink trends. 

  • Review the daily threshold report submitted by the APAs to track trending of adjustments. 

  • Conduct safety, inventory control, cargo loss, food safety, hazmat, Haz-waste, and physical security audits, inspections and incident investigations as directed. 

  • Perform daily safety related walks around the interior and exterior warehouse perimeter, to include multi-level work areas, such as Break Pack and Quality Control modules. 

  • Conduct routine checks of the CCTV, Burglar and Access control systems to ensure they function appropriately.  Conduct security related investigations when approved and authorized by the Asset Protection Manager or Director. 

  • Report all potential workplace security issues to the AP Manager and Director in a timely fashion. 

  • Establish routine communications with the FC Manager and attend Ops staff meeting to provide AP updates. Assist and support leadership team with safety, emergency crisis and evacuation drills and real events as needed.  Support leadership team during building projects from a safety, physical security and shrink standpoint. 

  • Perform other duties and provide other operational support as needed by the direction of the Director of Asset Protection and Asset Protection Manager. 

What's needed- Basic Qualifications

  • High school degree or GED, or equivalent experience required
  • Two years of related experience in warehouse operations or loss prevention/asset protection
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Ability to interact and communicate in a constructive and professional manner
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate competent general personal computing skills required
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and maintain strict company confidentiality
