Job description

Adara is a family-owned company that has been in business for over 40 years. We are headquartered in north of Houston, Texas, and we are a fully integrated real estate firm providing services in multifamily property management. Our attention to detail and ability to access the most modern and up-to-date operating tools makes us one of the premier management companies in the country. Currently, our portfolio under management is located geographically in three states and seven major MSAs. We are operationally located throughout the United States, namely Texas, Florida, and Ohio.
Adara Communities is seeking an experienced Asset Manager to support the Asset Management Department and Operations with all aspects of real estate finance, budgeting, analytics, and reporting related to asset management, leasing, strategic endeavors, and new projects.
This is a full-time position that requires the employee to be in the office Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:30pm.
Responsibilities of the Asset Manager:
  • Develop and execute strategic plans for assigned properties, driving:
    • Revenue growth: Rent optimization, resident retention, effective leasing strategies.
    • Expense control: Budget oversight, vendor management, efficient cost allocation
    • Capital expenditure: Planning and managing renovations/property improvements.
  • Partner with regional directors and property management teams to ensure On-site operations adhere to company policies, procedures, and brand standards.
  • Analyze financial performance metrics, including occupancy rates, rental income, operating expenses, and capital expenditure trends.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate key findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for portfolio expansion.
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors, ensuring services are delivered efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Stay current on industry best practices and regulatory changes.
  • Regular travel to on-site properties required and travel volume may change based on acquisitions.

Education and Experience of the Asset Manager:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field
  • 3+ years' experience in asset management within a multi-living property management company
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including building models, macros, and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical mind with sound judgment and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Self-starter able to work effectively in a small team and contribute beyond direct responsibilities.
