Job description

Title:
Chief Technical Advisor, Asset Integrity and Reliability
KBR provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets.
KBR's Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) division is seeking a technically strong and commercially minded Chief Technical Advisor (CTA) to lead and grow our global Asset Integrity and Reliability Services offering. This role is responsible for shaping, developing, and delivering high-impact technical services to KBR technology licensees and customers across both global installed base and grassroots projects. The CTA will act as a global subject matter expert, drive service innovation, and support strategic growth of the Technical Services business. The successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong customer engagement and business acumen to deliver measurable improvements in asset performance, risk reduction, and cost optimization.
Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Service Line Development & Growth
  • Support the growth strategy for Asset Management services, providing expertise in Asset Integrity, Reliability, and Maintenance.
  • Develop differentiated service offerings that address key customer challenges and deliver measurable operational value.
  • Partner with Technical Services leadership, Product Service Line (PSL), and Sales teams to identify, shape, and win new opportunities.
  • Contribute to pipeline development, proposals, and strategic account planning.
  • Support revenue growth, margin improvement, and service line profitability
  • Input to the go-to-market approach, pricing strategy, and value propositions

Technical Leadership & Delivery Excellence
  • Serve as the global subject matter expert and technical authority on asset reliability, integrity, and maintenance practices.
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality delivery of services that improve asset performance, enhance safety, reduce risk, and optimize lifecycle costs.
  • Lead development of new offerings, methodologies, and tools, including continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with global operations and technical teams to effectively deploy resources and deliver complex engagements.
  • Establish and enforce global technical standards and best practices
  • Ensure repeatable, scalable delivery models
  • Leverage digital tools, data analytics, and predictive technologies

Customer Engagement & Strategic Advisory
  • Engage directly with customers to understand operational goals, constraints, and performance gaps.
  • Provide expert guidance on asset management strategies, including reliability improvement, integrity management, maintenance optimization, turnarounds, and capital investment decisions.
  • Support executive-level discussions, technical reviews, and strategic advisory engagements.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on asset strategy and capital planning

Team Development & Collaboration
  • Mentor and develop technical talent aligned with global service line priorities.
  • Collaborate closely with regional sales, engineering, and technology PSL teams to deliver integrated, cross-functional solutions.
  • Champion a culture of safety, ethics, innovation, and operational excellence.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
  • 15+ years of experience in:
    • Reliability engineering
    • Asset integrity
    • Maintenance management
    • or related technical services within energy or industrial sectors
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Asset lifecycle management
    • Risk-based maintenance and inspection (RBM/RBI)
    • Reliability-centered maintenance (RCM)
    • Integrity management systems
  • Experience with digital platforms such as APM, IMDB, and CMMS
  • Solid understanding of process safety and relevant regulatory frameworks
  • Demonstrated ability to:
    • Translate technical concepts into business value
    • Communicate effectively with technical and executive stakeholders
  • Strong leadership, influencing, and customer engagement skills
  • Proven ability to work in cross-functional and multicultural environments
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or related discipline.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and globally as required. (25-35%)

Preferred Education, Skills, & Experience:
  • Familiarity with process technologies and licensing business models
  • Experience supporting:
    • Operating assets (installed base)
    • Grassroots and brownfield projects
  • Track record of converting technical capabilities into commercial, actionable solutions
  • Exposure to AI/ML in asset performance or predictive maintenance
  • Advanced Technical/Scientific or MBA degree preferred
