Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

2nd SHIFT HOURS 8:30 PM - SUN-THUR, UNTIL FINISHED.

$2.00 NIGHT SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL ($19.60+$2,00=$21.60)

The Seat Assembly Operator is responsible for participating as a Team Member in the manufacturing of quality products with minimal cost for scrap and re-work and with minimal delay by the use of inspection, knowledge of the product and processes, and sound judgment.

Duties

  • Complete assembly of automotive seating units while maintaining good housekeeping, safety, quality and efficiency standards.
  • Performs line assembly and/or support operations to mass produce automotive seating units in accordance with specifications.
  • Builds parts in a specified manner according to the Operator Description Sheets
  • Develop proficiency in all production job functions and rotate in job cell into various workstations
  • Control processing, delivery or installation of nonconforming product until deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected
  • Restock work areas as needed to ensure proper workflow
  • Monitor production material quantities and report shortages
  • Ability to lift and/or carry seating components frequently (Lift assist devices are provided).
  • Complete, assembly of quality seating units
  • Walk, stand, reach, lift, bend, pull, push to move product through build process
  • Use of hand-held pneumatic tools, torque guns, ergonomic arms and other equipment to perform operations on the assembly line
  • Bolts, clips, screws, or otherwise fastens parts together
  • Operation of assembly fixtures
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs, and stand for at least 2 hours at a time.
  • Problem solving of workplace issues
  • Quality inspections of work in progress
