      Job Description

      As the Post-Processing Manager, you will lead all activities that take place after a part comes off the print bed, including post-processing, quality control, inventory coordination, packaging, and staging for shipment or assembly. This role is responsible for building and developing a high-performing team while ensuring parts move efficiently through the production process and meet the highest quality standards. You will partner closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Production teams to support operational success and continuous improvement. 

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Hire, train, and manage a team of post-processing technicians while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
      • Own the post-processing workflow from start to finish, including drilling, trimming, sanding, finishing, rework, and secondary operations.
      • Establish and enforce quality control standards, inspection criteria, dimensional checks, and defect tracking processes.
      • Manage inventory tracking and logistics for materials, consumables, in-process parts, and finished goods, including receiving, staging, storage, and shipping coordination.
      • Collaborate with the Additive Manufacturing Engineering Manager to develop post-processing methods based on part geometry and manufacturing requirements.
      • Partner with the Production Manager to align staffing and workflow capacity with production schedules and prevent bottlenecks.
      • Develop, maintain, and enforce SOPs that support safety, quality, and process consistency.
      • Track and report key performance metrics including throughput, scrap rates, rework, inventory accuracy, and on-time delivery.
      • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment and ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and PPE.
      • Coach, mentor, and develop team members through training, performance management, and career growth opportunities.
      Qualifications

      Qualifications:

      • 3-5+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse operations, or a related environment.
      • Previous experience supervising and developing production or operations teams.
      • Strong attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to maintain high quality standards under tight deadlines.
      • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, finishing techniques, and post-processing operations; additive manufacturing experience is a plus.
      • Experience with inventory management, shipping and receiving, logistics coordination, and inventory or ERP systems.
      • Proven ability to lead teams within a fast-paced, startup, or growth-oriented manufacturing environment.
      • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
      • Commitment to workplace safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
      • Ability to work in an industrial environment and use PPE as required.
