Our client is a leading life sciences company that develops and manufactures tools and materials used in the production of biologic drugs. They are looking for a skilled Assembly Associate to join their growing team in Somerset County, NJ! This is a great opportunity to contribute to an innovative life science organization!
Pay rate: $20- $25/hr. DOE
Job type: 6-month contract (possibility of extension)
Location: Somerset County, NJ
Job Summary
The Assembler is responsible for performing manufacturing and assembly operations to produce high-quality products according to established procedures, technical drawings, and work instructions. This role involves assembling components, conducting in-process inspections, maintaining accurate production records, and ensuring products meet quality and performance standards. The Assembler will work independently and collaboratively while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
  • Assemble components and sub-assemblies into completed products using assembly instructions, technical drawings, blueprints, and approved processes.
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings, parts lists, work instructions, and visual aids.
  • Use hand tools, measurement equipment, fixtures, and specialized tooling to complete assembly tasks accurately.
  • Perform in-process quality inspections to identify defects and verify product accuracy.
  • Complete manufacturing documentation, production records, and inspection reports accurately and legibly.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Track production time, material usage, and waste accurately.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Maintain and properly use tools, equipment, and work areas.
  • Perform inventory checks and ensure required components and materials are available for production.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
  • Follow required safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications
