Job Title: Electronics Technical Specialist

Job Description

This role serves as a versatile technical specialist who supports multiple production associate functions, including assembly, testing, and polishing. You will act as a floater across different workstations, perform hands-on electronic assembly and testing, and help evaluate and train new team members through working interviews. The position suits someone with a technician-level education who enjoys detailed, precision work in a clean room laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a floater across various production associate roles, including assembly, testing, polishing, and other related tasks, depending on operational needs.
• Perform electronic assembly tasks using established procedures, ensuring high quality and consistency in all work.
• Conduct electronic testing and troubleshooting to identify, diagnose, and help resolve issues in components or assemblies.
• Use soldering techniques to assemble and repair electronic components, following appropriate safety and quality standards.
• Work with microscopes and other precision tools to handle minute components and perform detailed inspections.

Essential Skills

• Technician diploma as a minimum educational requirement; technologist or engineering-level education is ideal.
• At least 1 year of electronic manufacturing experience.
• Hands-on experience with electronic assembly processes.
• Ability to perform electronic testing and basic troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in soldering electronic components.

This role is either a straight afternoon or straight night shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of WATERLOO, ON.

The pay range for this position is $21.30 - $23.43/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in WATERLOO,ON.
