Description Saalex Corporation is seeking a Senior Operations Manager in Saint Inigoes, MD. Saalex is an Engineering and Information Technology Services company with a focus on Test Range Operations and Management, Engineering and Logistics Services, Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Services and Information Technology Services. Position Type: Full-Time/Contingent on award Salary: $135K-$200K (depending on experience) Work Location: Onsite. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in DoD or Navy program management and have direct experience managing an industrial production facility environment, such as a fabrication shop, machine shop, woodworking facility, manufacturing operation, assembly facility, warehouse production operation, or similar hands-on production environment where personnel produce, assemble, fabricate, or maintain equipment and materials. Essential Functions: * Serve as the single point of authority and primary representative for the entire contracted effort.
* Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for contract execution and operational performance.
* Maintain overall responsibility for program performance, financial management, and customer satisfaction.
* Lead and oversee cross-functional teams and subordinate managers across multiple operational sites.
* Establish operational policies, procedures, priorities, and performance objectives.
* Manage contractual requirements, schedules, budgets, staffing, and resource allocation.
* Oversee production facility operations and ensure efficient execution of manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, maintenance, or production activities.
* Ensure compliance with contract requirements, safety standards, quality standards, and Government regulations.
* Serve as the primary interface with senior Government and military leadership.
* Deliver executive-level briefings regarding program status, accomplishments, risks, financial performance, and operational metrics.
* Foster continuous process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
* Other duties as assigned or required. Requirements Required: * Minimum of 10 years of experience performing work aligned with the functional responsibilities of this position.
* Minimum of 5 years of engineering, technical management, program management, or operations management experience supporting U.S. Navy or Department of Defense programs.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience managing a production facility environment, such as: * Manufacturing facilities
* Fabrication shops
* Machine shops
* Woodworking facilities
* Metalworking facilities
* Assembly operations
* Industrial production facilities
* Warehouse production operations
* Maintenance and repair production facilities
* Demonstrated experience leading personnel engaged in hands-on production, fabrication, assembly, maintenance, or manufacturing activities.
* Experience providing executive-level leadership for contract performance, financial execution, staffing, and customer satisfaction.
* Experience managing multiple work centers, production teams, supervisors, or operational departments.
* Experience developing and presenting executive-level briefings, reports, and performance metrics.
* Strong understanding of operational planning, resource management, and process improvement. Desired: * Prior experience managing Navy production, fabrication, maintenance, or depot-level operations.
* Experience supporting test range operations, engineering services, logistics services, or manufacturing support contracts.
* Experience managing Government-owned production facilities or industrial operations.
* Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Continuous Process Improvement (CPI), or similar operational excellence certifications.
* Program Management Professional (PMP) certification.
* Experience overseeing multi-site operations involving production, engineering, and logistics functions.
* Experience with workforce planning, production scheduling, and facility operations management. Education: Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Technical, or Business discipline and 10 years of experience OR Associates degree and 12 years of experience, OR HS Diploma or GED and 14 years of experience required. Security Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance.
