Assembly Technician

Location: Magnolia, TX  77354

Pay: $17-18

Schedule: Day shift Mon-Fri 6am- 2:30pm


Job Summary

We are seeking an Assembly Technician to assemble manufactured components using engineering drawings and work instructions. This position is responsible for inspecting parts, verifying components, performing quality checks, and using hand tools to build finished enclosures while maintaining production schedules and quality standards.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assemble components according to engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Review job prints to verify all required components are available before beginning assembly.
  • Verify cabinet finish requirements (powder coat, mill grain, wet coat, etc.) and route products to the appropriate department when needed.
  • Inspect enclosures for missing welds, missing components, burn-through, scratches, and other defects, reporting issues to the Assembly Supervisor.
  • Monitor stock parts and notify the Assembly Supervisor before inventory runs low.
  • Maintain production efficiency while ensuring assemblies are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Safely operate hand tools during the assembly process.
  • Read and follow work instructions, diagrams, and engineering prints.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following company safety procedures.
  • Assist in other departments as needed based on production requirements.
  • Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience as an Assembly Technician or in a similar manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Mechanically inclined with experience using hand tools, power tools, and electrical tools.
  • Knowledge of hardware including nuts, bolts, sockets, and similar components.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, prints, and work instructions.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Forklift certification is preferred. Candidates must be able to pass both written and operating forklift tests. Company-provided training is available.
  • High school diploma and related training preferred.
