Work Schedule: This position's current schedule is Tuesday -Friday, 6:00am-5:00pm, with a one hour lunch break, 40 hrs per week, paid weekly, occasional opportunity for overtime.
Starting Pay: $19.00/hr.
Job Description:
Coast Precast is seeking full-time Manual Laborers-(Concrete Production Line) candidates for immediate hire.  We are a family-owned manufacturer of Precast Stair Treads in Texas, where we strive for quality and longevity.  At Coast Precast, we are looking for hardworking, motivated, reliable people to come onboard and help Coast grow to achieve our goals.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers, customers, clients, and management.
  • Personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, which will be provided by the company).
  • Participate in a one-piece-flow assembly line operation to produce products requiring attention to detail and focus.
  • Learn about plant operations including the flow of raw materials into the finished product.
  • Assemble bolts, clips, screws, cement, and other fasten-able parts together by hand or with hand tools.
  • Clean and finish assembly equipment using approved cleaners and tools according to SOP book and ability to reference MSDS to ensure safe handling and proper PPE is used.
  • Assist as needed performing maintenance, in production, shipping, as well as a willingness to act as a relief worker for various departments.
  • Handle an open air, covered shop environment and work in all weather conditions: heat, cold, wet, or dry. May have exposure to dust, sand, gravel, cement, fly ash, concrete, admixtures, oils, etc.
  • Familiarity with hand tools commonly found in the manufacturing environment (ie. Power drills, saws, pneumatic equipment, hydraulic equipment, etc.)
  • May assist in other departments, other duties as assigned.

  • Takes initiative and has good judgement with the ability to respond quickly to any situation.
  • Detailed oriented can complete repetitious tasks quickly, correctly, and efficiently while maintaining quality with hands and have the strength, stamina, and coordination to perform daily duties.
  • Exceptional attendance, extremely reliable.
  • Respectful to other coworkers, management, and vendors.
  • Extremely flexible and adapts easily to quick changes with a positive attitude.
  • Self-directed, can remain on task and completes all tasks with a sense of urgency within a timely manner.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal, speaks in a professional and respectful manner to others within and outside of the company. 
  • Ability to retain and apply information and training given.
  • Ability to lift 75lbs, bend, twist, stoop, sit, kneel, crawl, push and pull.
  • Able to reach in all directions.
  • Ability to do repetitive tasks, ie. shovel concrete materials repeatedly throughout the day.
  • Ability to operate hand and foot-based controls on all types of equipment.
  • Can identify and maneuver around obstacles and see and hear warnings.
  • Previous construction or manufacturing experience.
  • Forklift experience is preferred.
