Job description

Supervise, coordinates and directs the activities of assigned 2ND SHIFT Assembly Line and Kitting personnel while applying knowledge of packaging methods, equipment, and capability of workers. Confers with management personnel to establish production standards.  RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Train, assign, and supervise activities of workers engaged in assembly line work. 
  2. Provide input to management on employee performance according to established RRD personnel policies 
  3. Monitors productivity and performance standards, plans and directs work flow and project assignments. 
  4. Insures that all material movement by personnel is accompanied by system transactions.                        
  5. Audits the processes and productivity.  
  6. Analyzes advanced errors on system, resolves issues.
  7. Provides prompt and accurate service to the manufacturing floor, insuring that downtime is minimized.
  8. Maintains accurate personnel records, including reviewing and approving employee timecards.
  9. Understands OSHA regulations and ISO9001 standards

Required Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual
  • Skill in verbal and written communication, forward and progressive thinking, and problem analysis and resolution

  • Adept with basic mathematical calculations, and preparing written operational reports

Required Experience

  • Minimum 4 years related production, warehouse and/or distribution center experience.
  • Knowledge of warehouse and inventory practices and procedures, standard management principles and practices, and standard business practices.
  • Experienced with applicable safety regulations.
  • Ability to lead and train a high performance team and achieve results and team goals.
  • Carry out responsibilities while upholding our values and ethics.
  • Operate a personal computer and job related software proficiently.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule to include weekends if business require it.
