Job description


  • Examine ingredients or finished products to ensure conformance to company standards;
  • Check products and packaging for basic quality defects, verify accuracy and completeness of data;
  • Performing various in-line quality control checks;
  • Take samples of products at various stages of processing;
  • Conduct quality audits and assist in the development of quality management and quality assurance standards;
  • Perform data entry and record keeping. Regular filing and document management;
  • Provide assistance in testing and analysis of packaged food products;
  • Check and monitor product quality;
  • Daily review of production records, quality records and training records for accuracy;
  • Operating the laboratory equipment and performing regular maintenance as required;
  • Conduct routine tests for product specifications, Grade and label raw materials or finished products;
  • Ensure hygiene and sanitation practices conform to policies and regulations.


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in nutrition, food science, quality assurance and control or a related discipline.
  • Interest in food/natural health products/pharmaceuticals is an advantage.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Motivated, positive attitude and an attention to detail necessary.
