Job description

Job Title: Production Assembler / Production Assembly TechnicianJob Description

This contract Production Assembler role supports a major ramp-up project by performing hands-on mechanical assembly and fabrication of hose assemblies, custom bent tube products, and a variety of assembled components. You will build, test, and inspect assemblies according to detailed specifications and technical drawings while maintaining accurate documentation and a safe, organized work area. The initial assignment is approximately six weeks, with the potential for long-term employment based on performance.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble and test high- and low-pressure hose assemblies in accordance with specifications and work instructions.
  • Fabricate custom bent tube assemblies, including tube bending, end forming, and testing operations to meet quality and performance requirements.
  • Assemble valve stack assemblies by following technical drawings and written work instructions.
  • Construct custom panel assemblies that may include valves, gauges, tubing, and regulators, ensuring proper layout and function.
  • Transform conceptual designs and technical requirements into fully assembled, functional solutions.
  • Use small hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, screwdrivers, and other basic tools to complete assembly tasks accurately.
  • Maintain accurate build records and complete job orders and related production documentation in a timely manner.
  • Inspect completed assemblies for quality, completeness, and conformity to specifications before delivery or next-stage processing.
  • Test assemblies to verify they meet required specifications, performance criteria, and safety standards.
  • Perform basic inspection and measurement using a tape measure, calipers, and other measuring tools to confirm dimensions.
  • Support general production activities, which may include basic machine operation, packaging, and assembly line tasks as needed.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company standards.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and project timelines.
Essential Skills
  • Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure and other basic measuring tools.
  • Ability to pass a tape measure and ruler test based on reading measurements.
  • At least 6 months of experience using small hand tools in an assembly, production, or similar environment.
  • Hands-on experience with small hand tools, including calipers, micrometers, and screwdrivers.
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort performing mechanical assembly and general labor tasks.
  • Ability to follow technical drawings, work instructions, and written specifications.
  • Attention to detail to ensure assemblies meet quality and safety standards.
  • Ability to perform basic inspection and quality checks on assembled components.
  • Reliability and ability to work the assigned shift schedule consistently.
  • Ability to work safely in a production environment and maintain an organized work area.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with mechanical assembly or production assembly in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with assembly line work, general production tasks, and packaging activities.
  • Experience operating basic production or assembly-related machinery.
  • Comfort working with hose assemblies, tube bending, valves, gauges, regulators, or similar components.
  • Ability to interpret conceptual designs and translate them into assembled products.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new processes and tools.

Appropriate work attire suitable for a production and shop floor setting is required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
