Job description

Job Summary:

The Packaging Associate pays an integral role in ensuring production assignments are met in a timely manner.  

  • Reports to: Packaging Supervisor
  • Location:  Johnson City, TN
  • Schedule: Third Shift
  • Hours:11:00PM-7:30AM

Responsibilities/Essential Duties:

    • Work on assembly line that fills bottles, jars, etc. with product which requires a lot of repetitive tasks and job functions, from putting lids/caps on container to putting finished product in shipping case.
    • Label containers
    • Unfold cartons to prepare for production
    • Place tubes, inserts inside carton as it moves along conveyor
    • Prepare shipping cases by unfolding case and using tape dispenser to close bottom of box
    • Check for lot number/expiration date on container
    • Package all finished product and move to staging area.
    • Keep area clean and neat.
    • Notify lead person/supervisor of production issues.
    • Work in other departments or areas as needed.
    • Follow all cGMP procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

Basic Qualifications: 

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Consistent and punctual attendance.  
    • Must be quality driven with good attention to detail but also be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

Regularly works around moving mechanical parts.  Noise level may be loud at times.

Physical Demands

Must be able to remain in a stationary position.  Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina. Frequently pushes, pulls, and lifts up to 20 lbs.
