Position Summary

We are seeking an Electrical Vehicle Assembler for Orange EV’s facility in Kansas City, KS

Position Responsibilities

  • Tear down and assembly of heavy-duty electric trucks by work instructions
  • Ensure the implementation of quality and safety procedures
  • Identify and correct defects in product or workmanship
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.             

Position Qualifications

  • Be excited about joining and helping build a young company
  • Previous experience in automotive or electrical assembly line work (e.g. semi tractors, heavy equipment, farm equipment, terminal trucks)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to read & understand engineering drawings
  • Ability to embrace new technologies and ideas
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Adherence to policies and procedures (e.g., safety)
  • Must be able to train on 1st shift regardless of shift.

Key Traits: Can-do attitude; team-oriented; leadership, initiative, maturity, dedication, and punctuality. 

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma required with 3+ years of experience in a related field
  • Prefer at least an Associate's degree in Engineering or Mechanics with at least a year of related experience. 

Ideal Candidates Will Also Have

  • Specialized training in engineering or mechanics (military or trade school)
  • Welding (e.g., TIG, use of plasma cutter) and fabrication experience
  • Electrical wiring experience.
