Job description

JOB PURPOSEย 

The Assembly Line Lead oversees the daily operations of the assembly line, managing and supervising Level 1, 2, and 3 Assembly Associates. This roleย is responsible forย ensuring production goals are met, quality standards areย maintained, and all processes are executed efficiently. The Assembly Line Lead acts as a bridge between management and the assembly staff, ensuring that work orders are completed on time, materials are available, and team members are trained, motivated, and aligned with companyย objectives.ย 

RESPONSIBILITYย 

Supervise Assembly Operationsย 

  • Oversee daily operations of the assembly line, ensuring production targets are met.ย 

  • Supervise Level 1, 2, and 3 Assembly Associates, guiding them in task execution, performance standards, and alignment with company goals.ย 

  • Monitor employee attendance, performance, and address any issues, including recommending disciplinary actions when needed.ย 

  • Provide mentorship and training to associates, ensuring continuous skill development and engagement.ย 

Production Planning and Schedulingย 

  • Manage daily assembly schedules, ensuringย timelyย and efficient delivery of finished assemblies and sub-assemblies.ย 

  • Communicate production expectations, updates, and schedules to associates and relevant departments, including production supervisors and quality teams.ย 

  • Monitor and release work orders, reviewing and closing them to prevent operational delays or material variances.ย 

Material Managementย 

  • Ensure raw materials are available on the assembly line, working closely with the inventory andย purchasingย teams to resolve material gaps.ย 

  • Maintain close coordination with the warehouse andย logisticsย team to ensure a steady flow of materials into production.ย 

Quality Control and Improvementย 

  • Collaborate with the Quality Control team to ensure assembled products meet quality standards.ย 

  • Lead efforts toย identifyย process improvements, enhance product quality, and reduce waste.ย 

  • Address quality issues as they arise, providing feedback and corrective guidance to assembly staff.ย 

Cross-functional Collaborationย 

  • Maintain open communication with management, engineering, andย purchasingย to align production goals and operational plans.ย

QUALIFICATIONSย 

  • 3-5 years of experience in assembly line operations, including leadership or supervisory roles.ย
